Christmas 2009

It seems like Christmas comes and goes faster and faster every year. This year was no exception.
CHRISTMAS EVE

We had a fun morning just hanging out as a family. After we laid Ian down for a nap after lunch, my mom, Erin, and I took some paper products over to a lady's house from our church because her mother passed away earlier in the day. Then, I came back home because Jason needed to go pick up the newest addition to our family. Meet Sophie:

After playing with Sophie for awhile, we went to the candlelight service at church. Ian did fairly well for being 2. We even let him hold a candle...even when it was lit. It made me a little bit nervous...but he did well. I just kept my hands underneath ready to catch it so that we didn't burn the church down. This was prior to the service starting:

After the candlelight service at 5pm, we headed down to Union for dinner at my grandmother's house. After we ate, we just hung out while Sarabeth, Joey, Leah, Nick and Anna went to visit Joey's mama's house. When they got back it was time to open presents!!! Here are pics from that night:

CHRISTMAS DAY

Ian was SO much fun this year! He really grasped Santa and was really excited to see what all he brought. This year Santa brought the following:

-a 12 in. lightning McQueen bicycle
-Lightning McQueen remote control car
-nerf gun
-train table with Thomas the train engines
-Zhu Zhu hamster
-clothes
-stocking stuffers

His favorite thing I believe was the bike. He got on it and rode it all through the house since it was pouring down rain:

He then dumped his stocking and played with all of his other goodies:

Jason got an Ipod touch...and I got a Macbook Pro!!! I was so excited!

After we played for awhile, we got ready and headed over to Jason's parents, aka Shimmy and Jerry, to eat Christmas lunch with them and open gifts.

CHRISTMAS DAY

After we left Nana and Papa's house, we went back to my parents to open more presents:

We had a great Christmas!!
