Surgery Time

The Surgery Center on Pelham contacted me today and said that Ian's surgery will be at 7:30AM. She said for us to be there at 6:30AM...which means we need to leave our house by about 5:45AM since we don't really know where we are going. Hope the Google map directions are correct!!

She said that Ian couldn't eat or drink anything after midnight. She said we could bring him in his pj's and also to bring a toy. I was like "a" toy? She doesn't know Ian very well. "A" toy will entertain Ian for all of 5 mins. So, we'll be taking several of Ian's favorites in hopes that we'll be able to occupy him until they are ready for him. =)

Ian had a fever of 100 under his arm this morning so I worked from home today and kept him home. Jason had work obligations in Chester. Ian has been fussy and coughing a good bit of the day. His morning nap was not good...only about 20 mins...because he started coughing and woke himself up. The afternoon nap was much longer...2 hours. =) Last night was brutal...every 2 hours...Ian was crying out and coughing. Hopefully tonight will be better and then the days to come after the surgery will be even better.

Keep us in your prayers. I know that it is a very common procedure...but you still worry...especially when it's your own child.
