Grand Finale to Winter!

Wow...I'm referring to the 6 inches of snow that we got on Sunday night. It was such a beautiful snow too! There were a few things that were odd though...the fact that we got snow in March and the fact that we saw lightning and heard thunder during the snowstorm. Weird!

A few of us rode down to my grandmother's Sunday afternoon to visit for awhile and the snow started down there around 4 or so. We were so excited! So, we headed on back up the road to Sparkle City. By the time we got to Pauline, the roads were already covered and it was really starting to accumulate.

The schools were obviously closed on Monday and Jason and I worked from home. We took Ian out early for about 20 mins. to play in the snow. Then, about 4, we decided to stop working for the day and head out so that Ian could enjoy the snow some more before it melted. My sister had called and said that they were over at her in-laws pulling the kids behind the 4 wheeler and asked if we wanted to come over for a little while. So, we did. Ian liked it at first, then he was done with it and wanted to go back inside.

We then went over to my parents for pinto beans, corn bread, cabbage, and stewed potatoes. YUM!
