Today, my husband, Jason, turned the BIG 30! We ate at the Beacon and then came back to our house for cake, ice cream, and opening presents.
One of his gifts from me was the video below. I had asked several of his friends for video's and emails wishing him a happy birthday and then I compiled them all into a video for him to see since I couldn't get all of his friends together. It turned out pretty neat and he really liked it. You won't be able to read some of the emails in the tiny video below, but they showed up pretty good on the TV....but wanted to post it so that you could at least see some of the pics and hear the videos. Jason has some really great friends and I thank everyone who helped me make this day special for Jason!
I also gave him a 1 hour flight with fellow triathlete friends of his who are fighter pilots. They are going to take him up on Saturday in their two seater plane. Should be fun!
He also received money, an alarm clock (I finally gave him one that he doesn't have to pound every morning to get it to cut off!), and several Wii goodies, including Mario Kart, an extra controller, and two steering wheels.
After we put Ian to bed, we raced a couple of times. Fun!
I look forward to celebrating 30+ years more with my best friend, Jason!
Here are a few more pics from tonight, including the awesome cake that Dodi made (Thanks Dodi!):

Julie I must say I envy your creativity!
Such a neat idea! As I watched, I couldn't help but tear up...mostly pregnancy hormones, but such a sweet way to celebrate your husband! I might just have to steal your idea next year when Daryl turns 30 (if you don't mind?)!
Very cool, girl! Looks like everyone had a great time! I can't believe we are all getting so old!
He had a great birthday, I can tell!
Pretty cool post, and nice pics.
By the way ...
