Ian climbed, or I guess I should say fell, out of the crib tonight.
I am actually surprised it hasn't happened before now. He has never really tried to climb out before. In fact, he's not much of a climber period. He will occasionally climb up on the sofa with me or Jason...but he hasn't tried to climb our bar stools or anything else in our house.
He usually just calls or crys for us when he's ready to get out of the crib.
Well, tonight, we thought he was asleep...or at least laying down being quiet...when all of a sudden, we hear a LOUD THUD. Jason and I both immediately jumped up and ran in there because Ian started crying. It scared me, because he did the thing where they have their mouth open and they are crying, but nothing is coming out.
It didn't take him long to calm down though. I was amazed at how quickly he stopped crying. Since we didn't see how he landed, we just kept asking him where it hurt? He kept pointing to the top of his head...which worries me. I kept feeling for a bump, but never felt one. And you know they always say you need to be worried if there is no bump. So, anyways, after about 15 minutes, we laid him back down and haven't heard a peep from him since. Hopefully, he just landed on his side and that he's ok.
I know this won't be his last fall...but you still feel bad when it happens. Bless him.
