Tis the season...

for flu shots.


So, today I left work at 3:00 to pick Ian up and take him to get a flu shot. Bless him!

My insurance is pretty bad and doesn't cover much of anything...so I take Ian to the Health Department because there, they are free. So, yeah...I had to go and wait with the masses.

I was dreading this...because usually it takes awhile to get through at the Health Department and it is usually chaos. However, I do have to say...it was rather organized chaos today. It was like an assembly line. We walked in, they gave Ian a #, I signed a form, and then we sat down in a line of chairs and waited. As we inched closer and closer to the area that they were giving shots, the screaming and crying of those getting their shots got louder and louder. Poor kids!

Ian did really well. I thought all the screaming and crying would cause him to freak. However, He didn't freak out at all...until I pulled his pants down so that the lady could give him the shot in his leg. He cried when the shot went in, but by the time I pulled his pants back up, he was fine.

Whew...glad that is over!
