Merry Christmas 2008 cont...

CHRISTMAS DAY

We got up around 7:30, which is when Ian was ready to get up...and he ran into the den and went straight to the toys Santa had brought. He definitely knew those things were not there the night before! I thought he would be more interested in the paper and boxes this year...but he was not. He was definitely into his toys and SO much fun this year!

Ian's gifts from Santa:

  • bat and ball set

  • lego set

  • Leappad Tag reader

  • 2 Tag books

  • Tag carrier

  • 2 DVD's (little Einstein's and Letter Factory)

  • Mickey Mouse Clubhouse books and customized CD

  • pj's

  • 2 shirts

  • blocks

After we played with Santa for awhile, we went over to Jason's parents to exchange gifts and eat lunch. Ian got a car wash/garage playset from Jimmy and Sherri, a set of cars, a car hauler, and 2 Tag books. After Jimmy and Sherri's, we headed home for Ian to take a nap. He slept about 2 hours. While he slept, I actually laid down too. I had a terrible headache. So, I took advil and took advantage of quiet time!!

After Ian and I got up from our naps, we headed over to my parents house for present opening, round 3. Ian received Rocket with all the little Einstein characters from my mom and dad. He also received 2 outfits and a little guitar from them. From my sister and her family, he received a dumptruck, which he loved and pushed all over the house.

One of the things my parent's gave Jason and I was a Wii!! We were so excited! We enjoyed some Will bowling last night. I do have to admit...as sad as this sounds...that Jason and I both are sore from our Wii playing last night. I guess we are officially OLD. Jason shoulder is sore and I have actually pulled a muscle in my back. Sad, I know!

Here are some Christmas day pics (in reverse order...again):

Ian has loved watching us play the Wii:

I'm so glad you guys had an awesome holiday! It gets even more fun the older the kids get :) Merry Christmas!

ps. we got a Wii too, as did a bunch of our friends, and you are not the only ones to say you were sore!

The Wii is awesome. There is nothing like waking up the next morning with a bad case of Wii elbow. I think I have a permanent injury from Tennis on there. Now if I was just as good at real tennis, bowling, baseball, or boxing then I would be set.
