The last two mornings, I have been woken up by sharp pain in the bottom of my left foot. It feels like someone is stabbing me in the heel(not that I really know what that feels like :)...but you get the idea).
I told Jason about it this morning and he asked to hold my left foot for a sec. He showed me where my "fascia" was located...and proceeded to push on my heel and ask "does this hurt?" As I jerked my foot away and said, "UM YEAH!"...he casually said, "you have plantar faciitis". HUH?
Well, again, being the internet self diagnose myself queen that I am...I read up on Plantar faciitis today. You can read more about it by clicking on the link below:

It is quite painful, more so in the morning! Not really sure how I developed it...because it can be caused by a ton of different things...running, standing for long periods of time...etc.
I asked the nurse at RMC today what, if anything, I could/should do to help relieve the pain and she said to take ibuprofen 3 times a day for 3 days straight, get off of it as much as possible, go barefoot as much as possible(I already warned my co-workers that it may come down to this!), and roll a tennis ball on the bottom of the foot at night to massage it(translation and the way I took that last order: Get your husband to give you a foot massage every night for a week!) ha
Hopefully it'll feel better very soon. Please pray that my heel will be healed!

Hey Julie! I'm sorry you are dealing with plantar fas...I also had it/have it. I had to use the splint and wear it at night and during the day for many hours. It helped though!! And so did going barefoot and rolling on tennis ball. Hope it feels better ASAP!
I feel your pain. I have the same thing. I know what youa re going through. Just make sure to not put lots of pressure on it and yes the tennis ball does work! Promise. Sounds crazy but does work!
