3 flat tires = Jason not finishing his first half ironman

Poor Jason. He particpated in his first half ironman today in Greenwood (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run).

He said he did really well on the swim and was making good time as he started the bike portion. However, he was not able to complete the triathlon due to 3 flat tires.

He was able to fix the flat tire twice with a repair kit and 2 CO2 cartridges that are used to inflate the tire...but 20 miles later when it happened for a 3rd time, he knew it was over. He sat on the side of the road waiting for a support vehicle to come by. He was really discouraged...and I hate it for him.

I decided not to join him on this trip due to being sick.

This is a really cute video of Ian. He thinks he's done something really great flipping the light off and on!! Why I chose to break out in song, I have no idea!

The weekends just do not last long enough! One thing that I'm excited about is...this week is only a 2 day work week for me!!! YAHOOO! Jason and I are heading to the beach Tuesday!
