Labor Day and what does the clock say?

Today was a nice relaxing day off of work. I really wish we had 3 day weekends every weekend!

I slept in today which was so nice! Normally, I have to get up at 7:00ish with Ian because he's an early riser and because Jason is usually out and about either running or cycling. But today, Jason actually did not go anywhere this morning and got up with Ian so that I could lay in the bed a little longer...and boy was it nice! Ian has had rough nights for the last 3 nights. Not sure what is going on...but he's definitely not feeling well and crying in the middle of the night. For weeks now, he's done great...but when he comes down with a cold, he wakes up periodically. Oh well, still waiting on the day when he likes to sleep late like his momma! ;)

After the nice slow morning, Jason cut our grass and then hopped on his bike and rode to Union (26 miles). Ian and I headed down shortly thereafter. It took Jason about 1 hour and 18 mins...and almost beat us down there...but we passed him around Buffalo.

Then, we got to my grandmother's and ate hash, BBQ, rice, and for dessert, homemade peach ice cream! It was delicious!

We hung out and watched a lot of coverage of Hurricane Gustav. Glad to hear that it has not been quite the devastation as Katrina.

I did capture this very quick video of Ian. When you ask Ian what the clock says, he says "Tick tick tick!" It's so cute!
