Ian's first swim lessons

Ian has completed his first swim lessons!

He attended the first summer session at the Swim Center, which was June 7-10th and 14-17th from 7:30-8:00pm. His instructor was Taylor.

Ian wouldn't even stick his face in the water before the swim lessons...and after the 2 weeks of lessons, he was going under without freaking out! He even jumped into the deep end a time or two during the last two days of lessons. He still has a way to go and still isn't completely comfortable...but I thought he made a lot of progress in the 2 short weeks. If nothing else, he knows to hold his breath and doesn't panic when he goes under!

He cried just about the entire lesson for the first 2 nights. Here he is on night 2 (so pitiful!):

He was much happier on Nights 3 - 8! :)
