Day 2 at the beach

Today wasn't as good as yesterday...but as the saying goes...a bad day at the beach is better than a good day at the office. Ian was rather fussy the first part of the day. He just wasn't a happy camper at the beach this morning. So, Jason took him back to the room at 11:45 for a nap...only to find out that he was NOT going to sleep. Jason and my uncle decided to go play golf today and had to leave at 12...so I came up shortly after Jason went up to stay with Ian. I tried and I tried to get him to take a nap. He was so sleepy...but just would not give it up. So, I got him on up at 1 and fed him lunch. Then, I stayed in with him for a little while and did my Plyometrics video while Ian watched Baby Einstein. Plyometrics was not the video I was supposed to do today...but I got one of my videos out of the way. Now, I have to make up today's video...;)...which I think is Yoga. Anyways...after the video, Ian and I headed back to the beach. He found out that he loved to put seashells in one of our castle buckets. He puts them in and takes them out...puts them in and takes them out. Fun for hours! Then, he decided that was not fun anymore and decided to get fussy. We tried to lay him down...but that didn't work either. So, Leah picked him up and she and Paige walked and carried him down the beach for awhile. When they got back...Ian was asleep on Leah's shoulder. So, we carefully laid him down in the little blow up pool...and he slept over an hour. Finally, we came in and ate a bite and then the whole gang went and played putt putt...while my grandma and aunt and uncle watched Ian. We were so appreciative of a break. Finally, my cousin Nick, his girlfriend Jennifer, and Jason and I stopped by Baskin Robbins...yep...I'm pretty sure dairy is in our diet!! It was delicious...and I'll probably do it again before the week's up! We just got in and put Ian to bed...hoping that he'll sleep a little past 7 in the morning. Wish us luck!

So wish I was at the beach!

Tell me about this blow-up pool. Do you fill it with ocean water?? I'm intrigued as we go to the beach in a month or so! You can email me or I'll try to remember to check the comments whichever is easiest. Email is caseyrn at aol dot com
