Today was a very busy day. First of all I worked from 8-4. Dodi and I were supposed to go swim...but I decided to take Ian to the doctor before we head off to the beach incase he has an ear infection starting. So, I took Ian up there around 4:30. Dr. Hicklin said that both of Ian's tubes were still in place and that his ears looked fine. That was great news! He said to push fluids and do the nebulizer treatments a couple of times a day. He said other than that, I am not going to give him anything...he doesn't need anything...he said, but you do. So, he is giving me a round of Avelox, another antibiotic. He said my cough sounded bad...so hopefully this round will do the trick. I'm telling you...I can't shake this for some reason.
After the dr. visit, I took Ian home and fed him dinner. Then, we headed to Jason's softball game. After Jason's game, he took Ian home, bathed him, and I headed to the grocery store. Then when I got home, I loved on Ian for a little while and then put him to bed.
Finally, it was mine and Jason's turn to eat...at 9:15PM! So, while Jason cooked...I made a cake for our United Way Bake Sale today at work. I made a Blackberry wine cake. We ate while it baked. Then, I asked Jason to glaze it while I got in my P90X video. It was 10:05 before I started the Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps video. I got half way through and then Ian had a terrible coughing spell that woke him up and then he cried off and on all night. I don't really know why he's been so fussy over the last few weeks...I am assuming teething is part of it...he's getting a huge back molar. Having this cold I think is another reason for him being cranky. It's been hard. Trying to be the best mom you can be, while being the best wife you can be, while being the best co-worker you can be, while being the best daughter, sister, friend, choir member you can be...while trying to get and stay in shape. It's tough to do it all...but as Tony always says, do your best and forget the rest.
I'll make up the other half of the video from tonight tomorrow with plyometrics. Dodi and I are also planning on going to the swim center at 4.
Really looking forward to relaxing next week at the beach!
