Today was a good day! Dodi and I worked through lunch today so that we could get some swim training in at 4 at the Swim Center. I was really proud of us today. We did our usual warmup laps and drills...then we swam 300 meters within 10 mins. If we do the Union Sprint Tri in July...that is the distance for the swim piece. We just need to improve our time...but as we get more and more practice in...we'll definitely bring that time down some. The Greenville Sprint Tri is 400 meters...so we are definitely getting there!
After I came home, Jason cooked some steaks while I fed Ian. At 7:30 tonight after we ate, I finished the last half of yesterday's video...just in time for American Idol! It was hilarious though...because during the clap/plyo pushups...Ian was beside me doing the same thing. Jason and I just laughed. We should have gotten it on video. American Idol was really good...and I think both David's did a really good job...and I really like both of them. To me they are so different...but I have to agree with Simon tonight. David Archuletta did awesome. It was so funny...during the last segment, before I heard David Archuletta say which song he chose...I told Jason...man I wish he would do Imagine again...and then when David said he was going to be doing Imagine...I just got beside myself. I absolutely love that song! Once again, he did an awesome job with that song.
After American Idol went off, I did our P90X Plyometrics video. It was as brutal as I remembered. This definitely is by far the hardest one for me. I still have the chest congestion which makes any cardio activity hard. Swimming was hard for me today too...when I would go deep, the pressure from the depth and the pressure from my sinuses was about more than I could stand. However...right now...I feel pretty good...and believe it or not...I can breathe....WITHOUT nasal spray. I may be able to make it tonight without it!
And another positive note...Ian is not crying...and hasn't made a peep from the time we laid him down at 8:30!! I can't tell you how excited I am. We may get a good night's rest!! Yeah!
And one more positive note...my blackberry wine cake was a big hit this morning! It was gone before the sale ever started. Even though it didn't look pretty, I had a couple folks say they really enjoyed it and one lady even asked for the recipe. I was so excited...because as you all know...my cooking skills seriously lack!
Alrighty...going to get Ian's bag ready and then I am hitting the sack! Night!
