Wow...what a busy day!
First of all, my alarm went off at 6:30...and usually I have time to get myself ready. However, I heard Ian start to cry at 6:30 wanting to get out of the crib. So, I went in there and picked him up and he just laid his head on my shoulder. How sweet! Then, I put him in the high chair and sat his bottle of milk on his tray. I also broke up a cereal bar and left it on tray and turned on the Wiggles. I then left him and went to get ready myself. When I came back...the cereal bar was gone and he had taken 3/4 of his bottle...ALL BY HIMSELF!! Whoo hoo! This is a big step...and helps me out in the morning! I was then out the door and had him at daycare by 7:30 and was at work by 10 till 8!
During lunch, Dodi and I did the Plyometrics video. It's a ton of jumps and squats and really works on your cardio.
At five, Dodi and I went to the swim center to get our swim training in. Jay has recently started going to the swim center...and so he joined us at 5. I was proud of my swimming today. I did 400 meters!!! My longest stretch was 150...then I did 100, 50, and 100. I need to keep stretching my lengths. Next time, I am going to try to do a 200 meter length.
After that, I went to vote.
Then, it was to my in-laws for dinner so that they could give me my birthday present. After we ate, Jason and I ran up to the hospital to visit my sister while my in-laws watched Ian. Erin is doing much better. She has had very little pain medicine today which is good and means her head is getting better. The infectious disease doctor came by and said that she did most likely catch the bateria infection from ICU. Yuck! However...the antibiotics seem to be doing the trick because her fever has been down all day and she is feeling much better. The neuro surgeon came by and said that they are going to repeat the MRI tomorrow afternoon and depending on the results she gets back Thursday, they may let her come home Thursday...which would be good because that is her birthday!
After we left the hospital, we picked up and Ian and got home around 9:30...gave him a bottle and then put him to bed.
Now, we're going to bed!
